Today was a fantastic day, my umbilical cord finally fell off. And boy am I happy, it was beginning to stink.

When dad got home we went to Babies `R Us. I finally got to go the baby superstore to get things that I want. Since Grandma CC went with us, that idea was totally blown out of the water. She bought whatever she thought was cute. Personally, I think I look cute in everything I wear! Mommy, Daddy, and Grandma CC have been going there for months to buy things for me, but now I finally got to go there in person.

Mommy says I got a new outfit for Spring Training. It says CUBS on it. I have no idea what that means Daddy told me that “maybe next year” I might understand! As we were checking out of the store, Mommy and Grandma found an Easter bunny outfit. I am scared about that outfit, but have no doubt that Mommy will make me wear it and I will of course be extremely cute in it!

Mommy also picked out an outfit for me to wear when the Super Bowl is on. Can someone help me out…what is a Super Bowl? Mommy was telling me that it is the biggest football game of the year and that this year it is the Colts vs. the Bears. I am excited to see the Bears…I love teddy bears…I wonder will there be any teddy bears at the Super Bowl? At least my daddy got what I really needed, more bottles!!!

Well it is late. Bed time after I get cranky for not eating.

  1. Hey Xander! Wow a shopping spree. Get used to the whole Grandma likes it so you had better too thing. It will happen forever. You can try to stand your ground but until you can talk it might not be that effective. Also you are never to young to learn grammar it is not “lease” it is least. Tell your parents to start teaching you better!

P.S. I am glad you like bath-time. I do too.

  2. well Alex I am reading a book on how to be a grandmother and the first chapter tells me I need to able to tell you no. For example we want to go out to eat and you say McDonald’s and I say Upscale dining and you start to cry when I say no. I then ask why you want to go to McD and you say the toy and I say lets compromise. We go to the upscale dining and then to Toys `R Us so you can really get awesome toys…Hoe am I supposed to say NO to you when you cannot argue back in a discussion yet…. How can I say No to your cute little face….. back to the book or better yet I will find another book that is more permissive…….grandma c

  3. Dear Auntie,

I am new to this world, and am still working out all he kinks of writing. My mommy and daddy are doing the best they can. Daddy works all day and Mommy plays with me all day. Sometimes they make mistakes, but that is ok with me. They do their best. Pointing out their short commings is not nice and greatly unappreciated. People who think they are superior to my Mommy and Daddy will lose posting privileges for short time that I decide. I am not trying to be mean, just protecting my Mommy and Daddy like a good son.

    Love Alex
