Well it is a Thursday. Not much going on here today. Daddy left for work early today so that he could pick me up from Grandma’s office (where I continue to play consuitant…I am waiting for the scrubs that were ordered for me!) So I had fun at the office, and after Mommy came home from work, Daddy, Mommy, and I went back to Daddy’s work. We were there for the ground breaking of the new Student Union at Parkside. I got to hang out with Sue (who works in the Ranger Card Office…a work friend of Daddy…she is nice) and I also met Office Kurt! It was sad that I didn’t seem my friend Katie or my other friend Shauna…but I did see Marcy, DeAnn, and Steve. All nice and fun people.

Well I have to go make my parents play with me…tummy time sounds good and so does rocking!

So my Mommy did it again. I think this might be an every week thing. She went off to work in the early morning hours, and left me home alone with Daddy. I am so lucky to have Panda Cat here with me to supervise my Daddy. Mommy spent much of her time watching me on the webcam and so did my Auntie Sparky.

In  the evening, Mommy, Daddy, Grandma CC, and I all went to the parade comittee meeting, but first we stopped at this place called Big Star. Mommy, Daddy, and I were there last week. Mommy really likes that place and says that I am a true Kenoshan for having been there. I don’t get it…maybe I will when I am older! So I had a good time at the meeting, and once again rumbled the table. I made Daddy change me and that was fun. All the adults stopped talking and were shocked at how loud I was! It was too cool.

Hello all. I am still alive, but still hurt. I feel better than yesterday afternoon, but am still very tired. I woke up early this morning (before Mommy’s alarm went off) so that I could eat and help Mommy decide if she should go to work or stay home with me. Like I said earlier, I am feeling better, so I sent my Mommy off to work after she took me to Grandma’s house.

Mommy picked me up early from Grandma’s house (I didn’t even go in to the office today) and then we came home and took a nap together. That was very nice. I like naps and so does Mommy. Still taking the Tylenol and that has helped tons.

In the evening, Uncle Don Human called wanting to know how to view the Alex Cam. Daddy told him, and then he and my Grandma and Grampa Thomas watched me for a while. I like the web cam…it keeps me in touch with those that can’t see me all the time. Daddy will have it on for me tomorrow when he is “working from home” aka baby-sitting me!

So it took me a while to compose myself to make this post. Today started out so good. I was celebrating my 2 month birthday and I thought everyhing was going great. Then my Mommy picked me up from Grandma CC’s office, got Daddy from work and we went to see my doctor – Dr. Amy. I thought it was just going to be a nice time, but then came the needles, shots, and vaccines. WOW THAT WAS NOT FUN. I was (and still am a bit) a very very upset little Alex. It was very tramatizing for both me and my Mommy (and also my Daddy who thought this was very cruel and there must be a better way to do these immunizations). My Mommy and I cried together, but that still didn’t make me feel better.

Infant Tylenol has helped a lot and so has the extra attention that I got from my parents and from Panda Cat. She didn’t like that I was so upset. Also the little ice packs that Daddy put on my legs helped out. I finally got over being uspet and cranky, and managed to go to sleep for a while.

I think that my doctore took lessons from the Spanish Inquisition. Just like that lab tech that I met before I was a week old. They must all be trained at the same place. I don’t think I like needles at all. (Mommy says that ok and that means I won’t want to be near drugs when I get older)

I am going to go sleep now.

P.S. I now weigh 11 pounds 5 ounces and am 22 7/8 inches long!

So today was another Vivaldi Day! I love Vivaldi Day. That is when my Mommy and my Grandma CC get togeter and put on a concert just for me. Mommy plays violin (see my violin picture at my photo site) and Grandma CC plays the piano (again I refer you to my photo site). I have lots of fun watching and listening to them play just for me. They also played some lullabys for me…but I didn’t go to sleep. It was too exciting for that! I sat on my Daddy’s lap to watch and listen to my concert. They both play good together. I am excited to play when I get older.

I forgot to mention yesterday that in my new wardrobe there are some Chicago Cubs outfits. Mommy is very excited that I will fit into them and will be wearing them soon. She told me (and Daddy) that she has already picked out my opening day outfit. I know she will be sure to put up a photo of that for everyone to see!

Happy Saturday Everybody! So I have outgrown all my clothes. My Mommy had me in a sleeper, and I couldn’t straighten my legs. It was funny. Mommy made Daddy come and look, and next thing I know were are out shopping for new clothes! I don’t know if I told you all, but one of my most favorite times during the day is when Mommy gets me ready in the morning. I smile at her as she puts on my outfits. I don’t even squirm too much for her (Daddy is another story)

So off we were going to Babies R Us. I like that store lots, and so do my parents. However, as we were on the way out of town, Mommy had a great idea (all of her ideas are great). She said let’s try the outlet mall. There is an Old Navy and an Oshkosh B Gosh. Well, neither one of those stores had anything for me, but then my parents were told about the Carter store. A lot of my clothes are Carter clothes and I like them lots…and so does my Mommy. So off we went to the Carter store. When we walked in, a very nice lady met us at the door and helpd us get to the right section. We found so much stuff, and to make sure it was the right size, we even tried on one of my new outfits! Now my Mommy just has to wash them all and put them away for me. Don’t worry though, I’ll make sure my Daddy helps too!

Today I am officially 8 weeks old! In case you didn’t know that, I just thought I would let you all know. Today was a fun day for me, since Daddy took off (something about a vacation day) and Mommy only had to work a half day (since she was g0ne all last night at this thing called Parent-Teacher Conferences and left me all alone with my Daddy all night). I got to spend almost an entire day with my parents and we had fun together. I got to see new cars while we waited for them to fix the remote on Mommy’s car. That was cool. Some were real big and some weren’t but they were all very very shiny!

I thought I would take a moment, since I am 8 weeks old, and tell you about some of my nicknames. I know I have told all of you about the one my Daddy came up with Fart-O-Matic 2007, but there are others that are more fun too! Both Mommy and Daddy like to call me squirmy or squirmy wormy (they even made up a song for me) and Mommy loves to call me her little man, or big boy, or even her little monster(that one is my favorite)! All of !hose all make me smile. Daddy likes to call my little guy My Auntie Heather calls me Xander and that works too.

Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit. My Mommy and Auntie do this every month. Someday I might understand this ritual! Today was a long day for my Mommy. She had this thing called parent-teacher conferences. I don’t understand why I can go, since she is now a parent? I thought I could go with and hang out…but that was not to be. Instead, I played with my Daddy at home and waited and waited and waited for my Mommy to come back.

I decided to wake up at 2:30 and have Mommy feed me. This was just a big plot so that she and I could have some special alone time.  It was nice, and then we both went right back to sleep. I didn’t wake up until around 6:15 and then my Daddy had to feed me, while Mommy got ready for that palce called work. Mommy and Grandma CC and I all had breakfast together, and I played with Grandma CC at her house. She has all the cool toys, and I found another new friend. I have a game that I play with him called punch Rugby the Dog in the nose. I like it, not sure how he feels about it though.

Later in the morning, I went back to Grandma CC’s office and played consultant. Acutally, I was wore out from all my early morning excitement, so I just slept until my Mommy came to get me. Then Mommy, Daddy, and I went to Big Star. That was cool. Mommy’s work friends were there (Ryan, Stephen and a new guy named Adam) Ryan got in the car and played with me in the backseat while my Mommy and Daddy ate. Ryan is a lot of fun, and Mommy says that he is a Cubs fan too! Go Cubbies!

Off to bed for me, it is getting late

Wow…it is the last day of February. Today my Daddy worked from home so that I could play with him. He worked and left me to play on my own…but he did set up a new toy for me. He got this pretty cool camera that lets my Mommy watch me and see what I am doing. That way, she knows that I am doing good and that Daddy hasn’t forgotten about me. It also lets others see me, but Daddy put in protections so that only authorized (whatever that means) people can see me.

I had a good day. Mommy came home in the afternoon, and I was very happy to see her. Daddy says that he can tell I am excited to see Mommy. Daddy says he is more excited to see Mommy, but I don’t think that is possible.

I am going to go to bed now, my parents gave me a bath and I am clean! Maybe you will see me sooner rather than later with my new webcam

Hello all. Today was my first day as “consultant” for Grandma CC and her office. Mommy dropped me off at Grandma CC’s house very early in the morning. Grandma and Mommy had breakfast together (I was sleeping) and then Mommy left me…again. But that was fine, because I was with my Grandma CC. She looks and acts lots like my Mommy-just louder!

Daddy came by to take me home around 1ish. He took me home, and shortly after that, Mommy came home to “rescue” me. I am so happy to see her. (and Panda Cat and Gizmo Cat too)…and of course my Daddy!

In the evening, Mommy, Daddy, and Iwent out shopping for a bit. Mommy had to go get a movie for her students to watch (I ask you all…does she really need to be away from me when all she is doing in showing a movie? Maybe she can phone in her lessons…just a thought) Daddy picked up a new piece of technology for me to play with…I can’t wait to use it. Then Mommy and Daddy and I went to Olive Garden for dinner. I slept almost the entire time so Mommy and Daddy could talk and have a nice dinner together (but they still had to take me…eventhough Grandma CC volunteered to watch me) Mommy likes to hang out with me even when all I do is sleep. I like that about her!
