So today was an extra long day for my Mommy. She had to go to parent teacher conferences and I was left home alone with my Daddy. It was scary. The good news is that I survived! I spent the morning with my Grandma CC, and then my Mommy came to my office to get me. She came real early, so I was surprised and happy, but a bit confused. (I guess that is how Gizmo feels Ha Ha Ha) Mommy and I went for a car ride and we met up with Daddy in Racine. We all hung out at Barnes and Nobles for a little while, and then we were off to see my allergist. All was well (although we did spend a lot of time there) and then we had a quick diner together at the Olive Garden. Then Mommy had to leave to go to these conferences, and I was alone with Daddy.

Daddy decided to take me to the mall. He said it was “to pick up chicks”, but I made him take me shopping to buy something special for Mommy for her special day coming up this Sunday. I have been told all about it…Mother’s Day (Personally I think is should be renamed Mommy’s Day…but what do I know!)

By the time Mommy came home, I was asleep, but I know she took me out of my swing and put me in my crib…it just felt like her!

Happy Birthday Uncle Chad (I haven’t meet you, but I know your big brother Uncle Jimmy and if you are anything like him, then I think I will like you lots when I get to meet you)

Today I stayed home with Daddy. I was still sore from my horrible shot experience yesterday (let’s not talk about that anymore) so Daddy gave me Tylenol and was very good to me (He didn’t torture me nearly as much as he usually does…that was nice) I think Mommy told him to be extra good to me today. I sure do love her (and Daddy too)

Daddy and I had to go over to the new house and wait for the people to bring over the lawnmower and the stove and the cook top that we all ordered on Sunday. That was fun, but there was some bad news. It turns out that the lawnmower was damaged and Daddy didn’t like that. (It wasn’t all shiny like I like either) So he complained, and it is going to be replaced later…but he can still use it now 🙂

We ended up at Daddy’s workplace – Parkside. I got to play with my friend Shauna and I met a new friend named Kelly. She has a little girl who is older than me…but I think that would be ok…we’ll see.

Mommy came home later than usual (she had a meeting after school) but I finally got her home to play with me. We played together, and then something new and exciting happened. Mommy and Daddy put me in this table thing and fed me something new. It wasn’t in a bottle either. It was in a dish and I used a spoon. I didn’t make that much of a mess!!! Mommy said it was cereal. It seemed ok…but I would rather have my bottle or milk directly from the source (Mommy that is)

Later all

What was I thinking? Wishing that I would have more activity today. Mommy took me again to Grandma CC’s in the morning, but then she came home early from work to get me from my office. I was having a good time at the office…Granny Gayle was there, and so were all my other friends (Ashley, Kim, Grandma CC, Breena, Vickie, and someone new named Mike) I was so excited to see Mommy even if I wasn’t too sure why she was home so early…but then I found out. I had to go see my doctor, Dr. Amy. That didn’t bother me too much…until I found out that I was going to be stabbed again. Not once, not twice, but THREE times! Ouch Ouch Ouch and Ouch some more. I don’t like these shots at all.

Mommy and Daddy were with me, and Mommy gave my Tylenol before hand to help me with the pain, and then I went home with Mommy. She rocked me and held me and fed me and put little tiny ice packs on my legs and gave me more Tylenol and then held me some more and fed me and rocked me…and I think you get the picture now. Daddy had to go to PT and then out to do something (I don’t remember what…actually I didn’t care I was in pain and I had my Mommy with me)

Uggg…another Monday 🙁 I wonder when I will like them? Daddy says never…that Monday’s are always bad. We’ll see I guess. Mommy brought me over to Grandma CC’s and I played at the house for a while, and then it was off to the office for me. It really is a cool, fun place to hang out.

Mommy came to get me in the early afternoon, and then I went back to my home. I played with Mommy on the floor, and in my swing (I haven’t been there lately) and then it was bed time for Alex.

I know not much of an eventful day, maybe tomorrow will have more activity!

Daddy slept in most of the morning, so Mommy got up with me to play with me and feed me and just take care of me. I was laying on the floor next to Mommy as she was trying to put together my new toy – the Jumparoo. I am a little worried about it. It is the same rain forest theme as my swing which is cool and I love it, but it also has that stupid monkey that I really don’t like. I can’t really explain it…but I just don’t like the monkey. Anyways, Mommy finally was able to put it together (Daddy finally got his lazy butt out of bed to help her with some of it) and I got to play in it. I had lots of fun (even if I am a little too small for it and my feet don’t quite touch the ground)

Mommy, Daddy, Grandma CC, and I all went back to the Sears place to buy some things. Ok we bought some big things. A HUGE lawn mower that Daddy can ride on (that should tell you how big it is if you know my Daddy) and Grandma made him include all the snow attachments too. Then it was off to the kitchen section (they have really really shinny things there) and Daddy and Grandma CC picked out a double oven and a cook top. Wow what a day of shopping. There was really a big sale on!

When we got back home, Daddy started to make dinner. He was making soup (Minestronie) and my personal pharmacist came over to play with me and eat with my parents. I really really like her. She is nice and smart and funny.

Grandma CC came to visit too and eat, and then it was my bed time. So I went to sleep

Wow today was a day filled with excitement. I finally got to my store (Babies R Us) and I got my t-shirts, and some other fun stuff. Mommy and Daddy picked out something called the jumparoo and Mommy also found some more Cubs outfits for me and then I got a 4th of July outfit (since I don’t know if I am going to get an official parade committee shirt or not). I am very excited about the parade by the way.

On our way home we stopped at the gigantic grocery store Woodman’s. There Mommy and Daddy got some groceries but they also got me some “real” food. I am excited to taste that…but will have to wait until I get cleared by my doctor.

On the way home, we stopped by Grandma CC’s to show her my new outfits and the new jumparoo. She was very excited for me. We also have to give her my new Bumbo chair (she wanted me to have one at home and also at the office…and of course at my home)

After all the excitement of travel and shopping, I am going to bed.

Until tomorrow,

Alex

P.S. Mommy and Daddy stopped for donuts at Krispy Kream and I am excited to have them (in a few days Ha Ha Ha)

Friday’s are always fun. I like them lots because Grandma CC usually doesn’t have much work to do at the office, so we hang out at her house and play lots together. I also like Friday’s, because that means I get two whole days all to myself with Mommy (and Daddy too)

Let’s see…what did I do today? Well Mommy took me to Grandma’s in the morning. She had a special activity planned at school day. She and her students and co-workers were grilling out! I was going to stop by school with Grandma CC and surprise her, but I decided to take a nap and Grandma CC didn’t want to wake me, so I stayed at the house with the Vickster!

Mommy picked me up from the office when she was done with work, and then we went home. After Daddy came home, the three of were all set to go to Babies R Us, but Grandma CC called and we met her at another appliance store and then ended up having coffee. Needless to say, we didn’t make it to my store…but there is always tomorrow.

Happy 95th Birthday Great Grandpa Boomer! Wow that is amazing…95 years old! At the end of my day, Mommy, Daddy, and I took balloons and 2 cards to him. One card was from me to my great grandpa and the other was from Mommy, Daddy, and Auntie Sparky to grandpa. I think he really liked the balloons…I know I did! I even had them put his name “Boomer” on one of them! Mommy tried to get a balloon with his age on it, but they don’t have those kinds 🙁

Well before we went to Great Grandpa Boomer’s, I spent part of my day with Grandma CC and the office and the rest of the day with Daddy and then Mommy. Actually I spent most of the day at my office. Daddy picked me up from the office, and we went back home. When Mommy came home we went back to the office. The supplies Daddy needed to make more computers work at my office had come and so we all went back to see Daddy work. That is fun, watching my Daddy work. I played with Auntie Barbie and my Grandma CC and all was good.

Daddy, Mommy, and I all went out to eat together (just the three of us) when he finished and then we went to Great Grandpa Boomer’s with the balloons! Yeah!

Happy Birthday Again Great Grandpa Boomer

So I spent the day with Daddy. He set up my web cam for my Mommy so that she could watch me! I must be the most technically savy baby ever…I mean I have my own website, blog, photo album, web cam, and of course I even have my own email addresses! I am so very very smart! Yeah Alex!

Mommy came home, and Daddy left to go to PT. Grandma CC came by the house and picked us both up and we met Daddy at a store called Sears. That place is sooooo fun. It has tons of shiny objects for me to look at and fun lights to see and more shiny objects to look at. Mommy carried me in the Baby Bjorn and I really like that. I get to face out and see everything. Plus my legs get to dangle so that is cool too. I almost have freedom…but I am still supported! Daddy, Mommy, and Grandma CC were looking at all kinds of stuff. I think they are big people toys (for Daddy and Grandma CC…Mommy has me to play with she doesn’t need anymore toys!)

After the Sears excursion, we went home (Grandma CC went to do the paperwork from my office) and I was soon asleep in my bed. I left my parents to hang out together and watch some television and eat something while I slept!

Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit everyone! Just so you know, I have a rabbit toy, and I really like to play with it. It makes noises and I can put parts of it in my mouth…how fun is that?!

Let’s see…what did I do today? Well I was at Grandma CC’s in the morning, and the I spent a little time at my office before Mommy came to get me. Wow do I have lots of fun at the office.

Mommy picked me up and then we went home to play there! I have a lot of fun at home too! I guess I am just a fun lovin kind of little guy!!!

Daddy came home, and then the three of us went to Grandma CC’s for another Alex concert! I love my very own private Alex concerts! Mommy and Grandma CC wanted to practice for school. When Mommy teaches the Enlightenment era, she plays violin (Mozart, Beethoven, and Hayden are all listed in the textbook so she brings this era to life for them!) Anyways, Grandma CC was asked to play too…so of course they had to practice, and of course I had to listen, and of course I had a great time! Have I told all of you about my new favorite piece? I know you all know that I love Vivaldi…but guess who else I really really like…Brahms. Mommy says that is Grandma CC’s favorite composer. I really like his Hungarian Dance # 5 and guess what? Mommy and Grandma CC played that just for me! And the also played Brahms’ lullaby (which is the song my teddy bears sing to me)

Oh how much fun I had listen and watching my concert!

Off to bed (where I can sing and compose in my head)
